2025 Week 5 DFS lineups: Jamey Eisenberg's million-dollar tournament plays for DraftKings and FanDuel

With injuries to Trey Benson (knee), Chuba Hubbard (calf), and Bucky Irving (foot), the backup running backs are going to be popular in the Week 5 DFS slate because they are cheap. I'm curious to see how many lineups feature Michael Carter, Emari Demercado, Rico Dowdle, Rachaad White, or Sean Tucker on DraftKings and FanDuel.

My favorite backup running backs are Dowdle ($4,300 on DraftKings and $4,900 on FanDuel) and White ($4,700 on DraftKings and $5,200 on FanDuel). I love Dowdle's matchup against the Dolphins, and White should make plenty of plays in the passing game at Seattle.

Carter ($4,000 on DraftKings and FanDuel) would be my next favorite replacement running back, and he has a great matchup against the Titans. But we could see a frustrating split in work between Carter and Demercado ($4,700 on DraftKings and $5,200 on FanDuel), so keep that in mind.

Tucker ($4,000 on DraftKings and $4,100 on FanDuel) is a good Hail Mary play since he might be the best rusher in Tampa Bay. But, given the matchup, I like White more than Tucker because of White's ability to catch passes against the Seahawks, who are No. 1 in most receptions and receiving yards allowed to running backs.

I'll use White and Dowdle in a DraftKings lineup that you'll see below. But I would have no problem building several lineups that feature all of these backup running backs, given their cost and potential in Week 5 due to expanded roles.
