The backup quarterbacks will make the Week 3 DFS slate interesting on DraftKings and FanDuel based on their cost. You can do a lot of lineup combinations with a cheap quarterback since Jayden Daniels (knee), J.J. McCarthy (ankle), and Justin Fields (concussion) are out. Brock Purdy (toe) could also miss his second game in a row, and this will be the first game without Joe Burrow (toe), who is out for at least three months.

Jake Browning ($5,500 on DraftKings and $6,800 on FanDuel) and Mac Jones ($5,000 on DraftKings and $6,700 on FanDuel) aren't as cheap compared to the other replacement quarterbacks in Week 3, but both should be in consideration for your lineups. Tyrod Taylor ($4,800 on DraftKings and $6,500 on FanDuel), Marcus Mariota ($4,000 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel), and Carson Wentz ($4,000 on DraftKings and $6,000 on FanDuel) are much better options based on cost.

You can stack Taylor with Garrett Wilson ($6,200 on DraftKings and $6,900 on FanDuel), as well as Mariota with Deebo Samuel ($6,100 on DraftKings and $6,700 on FanDuel), Terry McLaurin ($5,800 on DraftKings and $6,600 on FanDuel), or Zach Ertz ($4,200 on DraftKings and $5,300 on FanDuel). As you'll read below, I'm going with a Vikings stack on DraftKings with Wentz and Justin Jefferson ($8,900 on FanDuel), but T.J. Hockenson ($3,800 on DraftKings and $5,800 on FanDuel) is also an option.

By going cheap at quarterback, you can spend money elsewhere, which should allow for great players at running back, wide receiver, and tight end. But we also have a free space at running back with Aaron Jones (hamstring) out.

Jordan Mason ($5,400 on DraftKings and $5,800 on FanDuel) might be the most rostered player this week based on his cost and opportunity. It helps that he's facing the Bengals as well in Week 3, and he could be a Fantasy star in redraft leagues, as well as in DFS.

Every Friday, come here to see the players who I'm targeting for each site. We'll give you lineup suggestions and go over what values make sense to build a team that will hopefully be profitable.

I hope by the time Monday gets here, we're all celebrating in a big way. But, just remember, even if you only win a small amount, this is the start of building your bankroll for a long season.
