2025 Open Championship odds, predictions: Top picks, props, longshots and PGA golfers to fade this week
Golf insider Brady Kannon has broken down the Open Championship 2025 field and locked in his predictions and best bets
The final major of the PGA Tour season has arrived with the 2025 Open Championship beginning on Thursday, July 17, with the first tee times coming at 1:35 a.m. ET. Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland will host the 153rd edition of the British Open, marking just the third time ever that The Open takes place outside of Scotland or England. Scottie Scheffler has never recorded a top-5 finish at this major, but that doesn't stop him from topping the Open Championship 2025 odds board at +450. Northern Ireland native, Rory McIlroy (+700), is the only other player with single-digit golf odds for The Open 2025. He tees off at 10:10 a.m. ET in Round 1 on Thursday.Â
Jon Rahm comes in at +1200, with Bryson DeChambeau at +2000. The golf odds for recent Open Championships winners include Xander Schauffele (+2500), Collin Morikawa (+3000) and Jordan Spieth (+6000). Royal Portrush last hosted this event in 2019 in which Shane Lowry prevailed by a commanding six strokes, and Lowry is at +3500 for the 2025 Open Championship.
Before locking in any 2025 Open Championship picks, you NEED to see the PGA Tour predictions and best bets from elite golf expert Brady Kannon.
Kannon is an elite golfing handicapper with more than 30 years of experience in the industry. He's hit eight major outright winners since 2013. In the fall of 2022, he hit outright winners in three consecutive weeks: Russell Henley (40-1), Tony Finau (18-1), and Adam Svensson (150-1).Â
This season, he's already hit Hideki Matsuyama (22-1), Harris English (110-1), Ludvig Aberg (25-1), and Ben Griffin/Andrew Novak (25-1) in New Orleans. Anyone who followed his lead could have been WAY UP!
Now, Kannon has been digging into the 2025 Open Championship field to find the best betting value and just locked in his best bets and longshots to back.Â
This week, Kannon likes Jordan Spieth as a 55-1 longshot, saying, "I feel like he is starting to show some signs that he can win again. It was back in June when he finished seventh at the Memorial, which was his third top-10 of the season. He had three consecutive top-20 finishes between the Valero Texas Open, The Masters, and the RBC Heritage. Finally, he was impressive in finishing 23rd last month at Oakmont."
Kannon is jumping on even bigger longshots, including a pair coming in at over 75-1! Anyone who backs these golf longshots could cash in HUGE. You need to see who they are before locking in any 2025 Open Championship picks of your own.
