2024 NFL Betting Mock Draft: How the odds market is projecting entire first round one month out

Sportsbooks have posted odds on which players will go in the top five and which positions teams will draft first, among other bets

We're four weeks away from the 2024 NFL Draft, and while we're pretty sure who is going to go No. 1 to the Chicago Bears, everything else is up for debate. Sportsbooks have posted NFL Draft specials well ahead of NFL team draft boards finalizing, so the potential is there to make winning bets for adept forecasters or savvy news-sifters who can separate the real from the rumor. We're going to try to do a bit of both in the coming weeks here at SportsLine, but today, we're starting with a table-setting mock draft that reflects how the market views the most likely outcomes throughout the first round.

How are we going to accomplish that? We'll go through the draft odds available at DraftKings, which is the most complete of the major books right now in terms of what's on offer, and we'll first assign the favorites at each specific slot over the first few picks. That means that Caleb Williams, who is -4000 to be the No. 1 overall pick, will be going to the Bears in our mock draft (and every other mock draft you'll read over the next four weeks).

Starting with the Chargers at No. 5, we'll then pivot to taking players based on the position favored to be taken first by each team, when applicable. So while the speculation is that either of Malik Nabers or Marvin Harrison Jr. would be the best option for Los Angeles, we're going a different route based on what the odds say will be the first position addressed by the team. The specific players assigned will be at my discretion, but I'll do my best to give an odds-based rationale for the pick when possible.

Of course, the NFL draft is never as predictable as the market thinks, especially this far out, so my own personal mock drafts will throw some curveballs that I believe make more sense for some teams than the market is projecting. But that's for another day, so let's get into what the betting market is telling us about the NFL Draft in late March.

How does the first round shake out? And which team trades up to land the perfect prospect? ... Join SportsLine right now to see the late March betting mock draft, all from the expert who has outperformed the top-tier of NFL Draft analysts in recent years!
