Now that we've reached the Sweet 16, it's time for Cinderella to say farewell and for the cream of the college basketball crop to rise to the top. Sure, there are years when a VCU, George Mason or Florida Atlantic make a magical run to the Final Four. That's the exception, not the norm.

The better teams usually start flexing their muscles in the Sweet 16. Considering the lack of upsets we've seen this March, I would expect that trend to continue. Only one double-digit seed reached the Sweet 16 and that team, NC State, is a Power 6 school that won the ACC Tournament.

Here are a few things to consider before placing your Sweet 16 bets this week.

What's the best way to bet on the Sweet 16? And what should you know before you make your wagers? Join SportsLine right now to see Thomas Casale's Sweet 16 betting strategy, all from an expert on a 22-4-1 run in college hoops!
