The third-seeded Creighton Bluejays (24-9) will take on the No. 11 Oregon Ducks (24-11) in a 2024 NCAA Tournament Midwest Region matchup on Saturday. Oregon upset sixth-seeded South Carolina in Thursday's first-round game, 87-73, while the Bluejays easily handed No. 14 Akron, 77-60. These teams last met in the CBI Finals in 2011, with Oregon winning the three-game series 2-1.

Tip-off is at 9:40 p.m. ET at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. The Bluejays are 4-point favorites in the latest Oregon vs. Creighton odds via SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 146 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page).

Before making any Creighton vs. Oregon picks, you need to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. It enters the 2024 NCAA tournament on a 148-106 roll on all top-rated college basketball picks dating back to last season, returning more than $1,700 for $100 players. It also has a strong 29-19 (+810) record on top-rated spread picks this season. Anyone following has seen HUGE returns!

The model knows the Ducks have an explosive go-to scorer in sixth-year guard Jermaine Couisnard. The South Carolina transfer lit up his former team on Thursday with 40 points on 14 of 22 shooting (63.6%). Couisnard became just the sixth player in NCAA Tournament history -- and the first since 1988 -- to have at least 40 points and six assists in a March Madness game. Couisnard also brings it on the defensive end of the court as he has at least one steal in 10 straight games and ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 1.6 steals per game.

The model also knows senior center Ryan Kalkbrenner is a matchup nightmare for anyone that faces Creighton. The 7-footer had 23 points and eight rebounds in Thursday's win over Akron while also blocking three shots. Kalkbrenner's 3.0 blocks per game rank second in all of the NCAA, and he can also step back onto the perimeter as he drained his lone 3-point attempt on Thursday. For the season, the three-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year is averaging 17.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and shoots 65% from the field.

Now, the model has set its sights on Oregon vs. Creighton. We can tell you the model is leaning Over on the point total, and it also says one side of the spread is cashing in over 60% of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
