A spot in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament will be on the line when the Baylor Bears and Colgate Raiders collide on Friday at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. The Bears (23-10) tied for third in the Big 12. Meanwhile, the Raiders (25-9) won both the regular season and tournament titles in the Patriot League.

Tipoff is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. ET. The Bears are favored by 15 points in the latest Baylor vs. Colgate odds via SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 138.

Before making any Colgate vs. Baylor picks or NCAA Tournament predictions, you need to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model. (See up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page.)

The model simulates every Div. I college basketball game 10,000 times. It enters the 2024 NCAA tournament on a 148-106 roll on all top-rated college basketball picks dating back to last season, returning more than $1,700 for $100 players. It also has a strong 29-19 (+810) record on top-rated spread picks this season. Anyone following it has seen huge returns.

The model knows that Baylor features a future NBA first-rounder in Ja'Kobe Walter. A 6-foot-5, 195-pound freshman guard from McKinney, Texas, Walter leads the team in scoring (14.2 points per game) while shooting 34.0% on 3-pointers. For his efforts this season, he was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year.

The model also has also taken into account that Colgate has been playing excellent defense all season. The Raiders give up just 63.2 points per game, which ranks 10th in the country. During Patriot League play, Colgate held its opponents to 60 points or fewer 10 times, including two of its three opponents in the conference tournament.

For Friday, the model has set its sights on Baylor vs. Colgate. We can tell you the model is leaning Over on the point total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 50% of simulations. You ABSOLUTELY need to see the model before locking in any college basketball picks.
