The Vegas Vipers attempt to record their first victory when they host the D.C. Defenders in Week 2 of the 2023 XFL season on Saturday. Vegas (0-1), which went 1-4 when the franchise played in Tampa during the 2020 campaign, began its first year in "Sin City" with a 22-20 loss at Arlington. D.C. (1-0) opened the season with a 22-18 home victory against Seattle.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at Cashman Field. Vegas is a 3-point favorite in the latest Vipers vs. Defenders odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under for total points scored is 36.5. Before locking in any Defenders vs. Vipers picks or XFL predictions of your own, you need to hear what NFL expert R.J. White has to say.

White, a Fantasy and gambling editor for CBS Sports, consistently crushes against-the-spread picks and went 535-450-30 on his ATS picks from 2017-22, which returned more than $3,500 to $100 players. He also closed the 2022 NFL season on an incredible 107-80-6 on his last 193 against-the-spread and total NFL picks, returning more than $1,800 for $100 bettors.

White has crushed not only the NFL but also the XFL during its abbreviated 2020 season, going 16-4 on XFL ATS picks before the league suspended operations. Anyone who has followed him is WAY UP.

White knows Vegas quarterback Luis Perez threw a pair of interceptions in the season opener but completed 22-of-36 pass attempts for 249 yards and three touchdowns. His favorite target was wideout Jeff Badet, who made six catches for 81 yards and two TDs. Cinque Sweeting also hauled in a scoring pass while running back DeAndre Torrey returned five kickoffs for 115 yards and defensive lineman LaRon Stokes recorded 1.5 of the Vipers' three sacks.

The expert also knows the Defenders racked up only 177 total yards last week while quarterback Jordan Ta'amu was 8-of-19 for 86 yards with an interception. The 25-year-old did run for a touchdown, however, as did backup signal-caller D'Eriq King. D.C.'s defense allowed 331 total yards but forced three turnovers - including a pair of interceptions by Michael Joseph, who returned one 15 yards for a TD.

Now, White has locked in another confident against-the-spread pick for Vipers vs. Defenders. We can tell you he's leaning Over the total, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
