2023 XFL odds, line: Spread picks and predictions for Week 2 from football insider

The XFL returned after a nearly three-year hiatus following an initial reboot that was halted in its tracks by the global pandemic. And all eight teams will be back in action in Week 2, which starts on Thursday with the St. Louis Battlehawks vs. Seattle Sea Dragons at 9 p.m. ET. That game will be followed by DC Defenders vs. Vegas Vipers on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET and then there is a doubleheader on Sunday with San Antonio Brahmas vs. Orlando Guardians at 4 p.m. ET and then Arlington Renegades vs. Houston Roughnecks at 7 p.m. ET.

"Houston looked like a well-oiled machine in their opener against Orlando. Both sides of the ball were able to have success. Arlington's defense helped save the day for them against a Vegas team that collapsed in the 2nd half. But their offense really sputtered all game long," Hunt said. "They can't have that be the case against this Roughnecks team that can turn the ball over and also put the ball in the paint on the other side. Look for Arlington's offense to be better in this game, but not enough to cover the spread."
