Another PGA Tour designated event and a third straight trip to an iconic course have brought all the stars together for the 2023 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The tournament tees off Thursday in Dublin, Ohio on the course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The top five players in the world lead the Memorial 2023 field, with Scottie Scheffler coming in off another top-five finish and sure to be popular for 2023 Memorial Tournament Fantasy golf picks. Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele all took the week off after the PGA Championship. So, who should you be targeting for your Memorial Tournament 2023 Fantasy golf lineups?
Scheffler (6-1) and Rahm (7-1) are the favorites in the 2023 Memorial Tournament golf odds at Caesars Sportsbook. Scheffler tied for third at last week's Charles Schwab Classic, so should he be a target for your 2023 Memorial Tournament Fantasy golf picks? Rahm and Cantlay (10-1) both have won at Muirfield, so could they put you in the best position to win with your 2023 Memorial Tournament fantasy golf rankings?
Before you set your 2023 Memorial Tournament Fantasy golf lineups or make any PGA Tour bets, you NEED to see the Fantasy golf rankings from Fantasy expert Jim Holliman.
Holliman has been a writer and editor for nearly 25 years and has been playing and following the game closely for more than three decades. The Florida-based writer knows what it takes to win on the PGA Tour and how the players' games fit the courses.
At last week's Charles Schwab Challenge, six of Holliman's top 10 picks finished 16th or better, and all three longshots made the cut, led by Justin Suh (+10000), who finished T-16. The expert was ON FIRE on his predictions for the PGA Championship. The top three finishers at Oak Hill were all among his top five picks. As for winner Brooks Koepka, Holliman said "he can beat anyone when stakes are high." He certainly proved that when he won by two strokes for his fifth major victory.
Holliman has been on a serious roll: He was all over Jason Day (+1800) as a top contender at the Byron Nelson before the Australian's first victory in more than five years. He also nailed Tony Finau (+850) as his top choice at the Mexico Open, and longshot play Eric Cole (+10000) posted a top-five finish!
The expert also had Rahm (+750) No. 1 before his Masters victory and backed Scheffler (+1000) to win the Players Championship. Anyone who has followed Holliman's predictions is WAY UP on their golf picks.
Now, Holliman has ranked his top players for the 2023 Memorial Tournament. We can tell you the expert is backing Cantlay, saying "his performance at Muirfield is uncanny." The 31-year-old has two victories and two other top-four finishes in the past five Memorial Tournaments.
On the other hand, Holliman is fading McIlroy, who appeared to bounce back a little with a tie for seventh at the PGA Championship. Still, the Northern Irishman doesn't have a great track record at Muirfield, so he doesn't come close to cracking the expert's top five.
Instead, Holliman is backing several huge underdogs in his 2023 Memorial Tournament fantasy golf rankings, including one MASSIVE longshot priced at more than 200-1! The expert says it's just a matter of time before this golfer starts stringing great rounds together, and when he does, you'll want to be backing him. If he can pull off a SHOCKING victory, this golfer would bring a MONSTER payday and be an excellent target for your 2023 Memorial Tournament Fantasy golf picks!
