A pivotal Pac-12 matchup highlights the Week 9 college football schedule as No. 13 Utah hosts No. 8 Oregon in a battle of one-loss squads. The Ducks are 6.5-point road favorites in the SportsLine consensus Week 9 college football odds. Other lines of note for Saturday include top-ranked Georgia (-14) vs. Florida (3:30 p.m. ET, CBS), No. 18 Louisville (-6) vs. No. 20 Duke, No. 3 Ohio State (-14.5) vs. Wisconsin and No. 23 UCLA (-15) vs. Colorado (see more college football lines right here).

Before making any Week 9 college football bets on those games or others, be sure to see what legendary college football handicapper Bruce Marshall has to say.

For years Vegas-based Marshall was synonymous with The Gold Sheet, the famed sports betting newsletter. With a background in play-by-play work and sports information while in college, Bruce joined TGS in 1981 when hired by the legendary Mort Olshan and served as executive editor for many years. Marshall now supplies his unique and colorful brand of football and basketball analysis to SportsLine members.

An in-demand guest on numerous sports talk radio and TV shows across the country, Bruce's vast array of editorial work has been featured in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the New York Post and many other outlets. He has won various handicapping titles and also is working on several book projects.

Now he's studied the Week 9 college football schedule and used his Tech Corner technique to break down every matchup.

One thing we can tell you for Week 9: He's backing No. 10 Penn State to cover (-32) against Indiana in a noon ET kickoff Saturday on CBS. The Nittany Lions struggled on offense against a powerful Ohio State squad last week, but this could be a value spot for them against an overmatched team.

"The Nittany Lions have won and covered big the past two seasons after losing 2020 opener by 1 point in Bloomington," Marshall said. "James Franklin had won 13 straight and was 12-0-1 vs. line in those games before losing last week at OSU. The Hoosiers have now lost and failed to cover last four this season after Rutgers setback. Tech edge goes to Penn State, based on team trends."

Marshall has evaluated every other matchup and he's found a stunning 15-1 over/under trend that makes one pick a HUGE value on Saturday! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before making any college football picks.
