The Monmouth Hawks and Hampton Pirates will take part in their first-ever Colonial Athletic Association Tournament game when they face off in the first round on Friday. After a dismal start to the season, the Hawks (6-25, 5-13) have won five of their last 10 games, although they have dropped their last four. The Pirates (8-23, 5-13), who are 0-4 on neutral courts this season, are 2-1 in their last three games. They played their previous four seasons as members of the Big South Conference, while Monmouth spent nine seasons as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.

The game from the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., will tip off at 2 p.m. ET. The Pirates are 1-point favorites, according to the latest Monmouth vs. Hampton odds, while the over/under for total points scored is set at 142.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our college basketball odds page).
