The third-seeded Texas Tech Red Raiders will take on the surprising 11th-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday in the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament in San Diego. The Red Raiders (26-9) obliterated Montana State 97-62 on Friday in their first-round West Region matchup, while the Irish (24-10) surged past Alabama 78-64. Notre Dame also beat Rutgers 89-87 in two overtimes in a First Four matchup Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio.

Tipoff is set for 7:10 p.m. ET at Viejas Arena. The Red Raiders are an eight-point favorite in the latest Texas Tech vs. Notre Dame odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the Over-Under is set at 132.5 (Head over to our college basketball odds page for up-to-date odds on every game).

Before you make any Notre Dame vs. Texas Tech picks or 2022 NCAA Tournament predictions, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of almost $1,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model has taken into account Texas Tech's otherworldly shooting performance on Friday, when it hit two-thirds of its shots (36 of 54). It made 12 of 20 three-pointers, and its 66.7 shooting percentage was not far off Syracuse's tournament record of 67.9 in 1995. Terrence Shannon and Bryson William each scored 20 points, making a combined seven of nine threes. Adonis Arms made two of three and had 15 points. Texas Tech is 12th in the nation in scoring margin (11.4 points) and is third in opponent shooting percentage (38.4).

The model also has considered that the Fighting Irish are more than capable of putting up a hard fight. They harassed the Crimson Tide all afternoon, getting 10 steals and forcing 18 turnovers. Notre Dame made 10 of 16 three-pointers (62.5 percent), with Cormac Ryan hitting seven of nine for a career-high 29 points. Forward Paul Atkinson had 13 points and eight rebounds. The Irish are a disciplined team that doesn't commit a lot of turnovers (second in the nation at just 12.8) or turnovers (19th in Division I at 10 per game).

Now, the model has broken down Sunday's Texas Tech vs. Notre Dame matchup from every angle and revealed its results. We can tell you the model is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
