The 11th-seeded Michigan Wolverines and the No. 3 seed Tennessee Volunteers face off Saturday in the second round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament South Region in Indianapolis. The Wolverines (18-14) started slowly Thursday but ended up cruising to a 75-63 win against Colorado State in their opener. The Vols (27-7) had no problem with 14th-seeded Longwood, leading by 25 at halftime and routing the Lancers 88-56.

Tipoff is set for 5:15 p.m. ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Vols are 6.5-point favorites in the latest Michigan vs. Tennessee odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the Over-Under is set at 136.5 (Head over to our college basketball odds page for up-to-date odds on every game).

Before you make any Tennessee vs. Michigan picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of almost $1,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model has considered that the Vols just won their first SEC Tournament title since 1979, and they were on fire against Longwood. They shot 60 percent from the field, and five players scored in double figures, led by Santiago Vescovi with 18. Josiah-Jordan James added 17 points, Kennedy Chandler had 13 and Zakai Ziegler scored 10, and those four hit 12 of 16 3-point tries. John Fulkerson scored 15 on 7-for-8 shooting. The Vols allow 62.8 points per game, 23rd in the nation, while Michigan allows 69.9 (191st).

The model also has considered that the Wolverines could get starting point guard DeVante' Jones back from a concussion that kept him out Thursday. Freshman Frankie Collins stepped in and had a huge day, scoring 14 and grabbing six rebounds while turning the ball over just once. UM had nine turnovers in the first 13 minutes and trailed by 15 before Collins gave the team a spark. Big man Hunter Dickinson scored 21, hitting eight of 10 shots. The 7-foot-1 sophomore helped lead the Wolverines to the Elite Eight last year.

Now, the model has broken down the Tennessee vs. Michigan matchup from every angle and revealed its results. We can tell you the model is leaning Over the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
