2022 NCAA Tournament Arizona vs. TCU odds, predictions: College basketball lines, picks for Sunday by top model

SportsLine's projection model generated selections for TCU vs. Arizona in March Madness 2022

By@SportsLineUpdated: Mar 21, 2022 12:05AM UTC . 3 min read

The Round of 32 in the 2022 NCAA Tournament will conclude on Sunday night with a South Region matchup between the No. 1 seed Arizona Wildcats and the No. 9 seed TCU Horned Frogs. After No. 16 seed Wright State briefly made a game of it, Arizona breezed to an 87-70 win in the first round, while TCU had a dominant 69-42 win over No. 8 seed Seton Hall. Arizona hasn't made the Sweet 16 since 2017, while TCU hasn't won more than a single game in the NCAA Tournament since 1968.

Tipoff is set for 9:40 p.m. ET at the Aztec Bowl in San Diego, Calif. The Wildcats are 9.5-point favorites in the latest Arizona vs. TCU odds from Caesars Sportsbook, and the Over-Under is set at 145.5. (Head over to our college basketball odds page for up-to-date odds on every game).

Before you make any TCU vs. Arizona picks, you NEED to check out the college basketball predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every Division I college basketball game 10,000 times. Over the past five-plus years, the proprietary computer model has generated an impressive profit of almost $1,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college basketball picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

The model knows that Arizona has been one of the most dominant programs in the country this season. They lead the nation with 32 wins entering Sunday's matchup and rank seventh in the nation in adjusted offensive efficiency (119.3) and 20th in adjusted defensive efficiency (92.4). The Wildcats have Pac-12 Player of the Year Bennedict Mathurin leading the charge and he was one of five Arizona players to reach double-figures in the win over Wright State.

The model also knows that TCU's defense can stifle even the best offenses in the country. Jamie Dixon's squad ranked 15th in the nation in adjusted defensive efficiency (92.4) and team rebounding was a huge factor, as the Horned Frogs were +281 on the boards for the season. TCU held Seton Hall to just 28.8 percent shooting on Friday night and also limited the opponent to less than 40 percent shooting in big wins over Kansas and LSU this season.

Now, the model has broken down the Arizona vs. TCU matchup from every angle and revealed its results. We can tell you the model is leaning Under on the total, and it also says one side of the spread hits in well over 60 percent of simulations! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any college basketball picks.
