Tuesday's winning DFS plays in the NBA

Our Mike McClure shares his winning daily fantasy plays for Tuesday in the NBA.

Friday was one of the more frustrating nights I've had in NBA DFS this season.

A few injuries and a blowout in the Phoenix game was enough to end my night quickly. Fortunately we have the opportunity to bounce back tonight with an attractive four game slate.

Who should you target in your daily fantasy contests? Below you'll see my favorite targets for Tuesday's four-game slate.

    Guards

    Tuesday's Daily Fantasy Cheat Sheet
    PositionTop options
Point GuardRussell Westbrook, Brandon Knight, Tyler Johnson, Emmanuel Mudiay, Norris Cole (only if Tyreke out)
Shooting GuardDwayne Wade, Monta Ellis (bold if Hill out), Eric Gordon , Gerald Green
Small ForwardPaul George, Danilo Gallinari, Shabazz Muhammad, Kevin Durant, C.J. Miles
Power ForwardAnthony Davis, Chris Bosh (GPP),Markieff Morris, Serge Ibaka
CenterKarl-Anthony Towns, Hassan Whiteside, Nikola Jokic, Greg Monroe (GPP)
Players in bold are players in at least 75% of Mike personal daily lineups for tonight.

Tyler Johnson, Heat (vs. Bucks)  -- Johnson will start for the Miami Heat with Goran Dragic and Beno Udrih both ruled out tonight against Milwaukee. Johnson is a near must play if you're playing multiple lineups or on multiple sites. Johnson has point guard eligibility on FanDuel and shooting guard eligibility on DraftKings. The opportunity cost is much lower at the shooting guard position, so I'm focusing on Johnson at DraftKings first, but I will likely use him heavily on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Russell Westbrook, Thunder (at Nuggets)  -- Westbrook is easily the top point guard and the top overall player in my projection model tonight with only four NBA games. Westbrook has a great matchup with the Nuggets, who rank 26th in defensive efficiency against the point guard position. The only knock on paying up for Westbrook tonight is the point guard position is the position with the most opportunity cost of any position tonight. I will prioritize paying for Westbrook over Anthony Davis tonight, but I think it's virtually a coin flip with Westbrook vs. Durant because of the positional scarcity for Durant.

Dwayne Wade, Heat (vs. Bucks)  -- Wade will be forced to play point guard again tonight with Goran Dragic and Beno Udrih out of the picture. Wade is a near must play in cash games on FanDuel, where you're required to use two shooting guards. He's a tournament only target for me on DraftKings, where you have more flexibly with positional requirements. Lock in Wade on FanDuel and be happy you get a third point guard on a short four-game slate.

Also consider:  Brandon Knight, Ricky Rubio, Eric Gordon, Monta Ellis (if Hill out)

    Forwards

Kevin Durant, Thunder (at Nuggets)  -- Durant is the obvious top play at a very thin small forward position tonight. I highly recommend paying up for both Durant and Paul George on FanDuel, where the pricing should allow you to get both without sacrificing much at other positions. The Thunder have the highest implied team total of any team playing tonight and the road game in Denver should help the game remain competitive longer than it might in Oklahoma City.

Paul George, Pacers (at Suns)  -- I will keep this one short and sweet. The small forward position has the lowest opportunity cost tonight so I highly recommend paying for Durant and George in cash games on FanDuel. George is more of a tournament play on DraftKings, where you're only required to use one small forward.

Markieff Morris, Suns (vs. Pacers)  -- Morris appears to have worked his way back into the frontcourt rotation for the Suns after playing 25-plus minutes in each of the teams last three games. If Morris draws a third consecutive start tonight, he is a great source of value at just $4,900 on FanDuel, where you're required to use two power forwards. The big risk here is the Phoenix rotation could be messy tonight with Alex Len returning to the lineup. There is definitely risk with Morris, but I'm willing to take the risk at his price tag on FanDuel.

Also consider:  Anthony Davis, Chris Bosh, John Henson, Kenneth Faried

    Center

Karl-Anthony Towns, Timberwolves (at Pelicans)  -- I was torn between Towns and Hassan Whiteside for my center recommendation, but after further consideration I'm going with Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns should thrive in this matchup with Pelicans, who rank near the bottom of the league in team defense, defense against the center position and rebounding rate. I think this will be a very competitive game in New Orleans, where Towns will play closer to 35 minutes.

Also consider:  Hassan Whiteside, Greg Monroe, Nikola Jokic
