This decade has been marked by a series of winners whose names you might have missed without turning to page two of the betting menu.
Those who were savvy enough to pinpoint a golfer's breakthrough moment at Augusta National before the first swing were rewarded handsomely. Conversely, those who put their faith in those with short odds were left with a sportsbook coaster.
Last year's champion, Englishman Danny Willett, was offered at 125/1 odds.
In this decade, the winners closest to the top of the betting board were Phil Mickelson at 7/1 in 2010 and rising star Jordan Spieth, who saw a swell of support drop his odds to 10/1 before he captured the green jacket in 2015.
Oddsmakers don’t necessarily view short-term success at Augusta as a predictor of future results.
For instance, Bubba Watson was offered at 36/1 before he won in 2012. Two years later, he was fetching 20/1 or better before besting the field again.
Those who are interested in investing in Willett to repeat don't have to fret over a reduced price -- he's back at 125/1.
"The Masters has a unique course, and some guys fit it really well," said Chris Andrews, sportsbook director at the South Point Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. "While other guys, who might be great golfers, just don't fit it quite as well."

Andrews said his sportsbook has seen a steady stream of wagers since he posted odds several months ago.
He anticipates a late rush of cash after sports fans turn their attention from the NCAA Tournament, which ends Monday night, to the first tee for the season's first major.
The Masters has long been the cash king of golf events for sportsbooks.

"It's not even close," Andrews said.
Golf handicappers are always eager to identify a darkhorse to invest in, and Jon Rahm has been the trendy prospect this year.

The 22-year-old Spaniard has gained attention with a series of strong showings. Although this will be his first Masters, sportsbook customers love his potential and have driven his price down from as high as 100/1 to as low as 12/1 in some outlets.
"He's a young kid who has been playing great. Some people see visions of a young Tiger Woods in him," Andrews said.
Atop this year's wagering menu sits current world No. 1 Dustin Johnson at 5/1, two-time major winner Spieth (7/1) and four-time major winner Rory McIlroy. The Irishman has never won the Masters; he blew a four-stroke lead at Augusta on the final day in 2011.
"Those guys are getting the bulk of the money," Andrews said.
