What a job turning around the Aztec program by coach Sean Lewis. This defense is both smothering and opportunistic. They do a really good job of giving their offense advantageous field position and are able to cash in. Look for them to dominate the Cowboys in the trenches throughout the game.

Sean Lewis is doing an outstanding job at San Diego State, and he has the Aztecs pushing to be considered for the G5 CFP bid. Wyoming is a solid group, but doesn't have the same type of talent as the Aztecs. Play SDSU.

San Diego State has quietly been one of the best G5 teams in the country, and picked up a 34-0 win over Cal earlier this season. Wyoming is 4-4 this season but that says far more about its schedule than who it is as a football team.

We admit to liking the scrap exhibited by Jay Sawvel's Wyo, who in the best Craig Bohl tradition is squeezing much out of the Cowboys. Three straight covers for Wyo, which like the Boihl years is balancing the offense behind a squadron of RBs to aid QB Kaden Anderson. Yet it's about time to take the Aztecs seriously as they are marching thru the MWC for HC Sean "Tecumseh" Lewis, whose brawling defense has already pitched three shutouts this season en route to 6-1 (with five straight covers), while RB Lucky Sutton has emerged as a force, en route to 1000 YR and gaining 5.3 ypc.
