I don't trust the Huskers to cover the spread but I'm very confident they win this game after losing on the road last week. Northwestern has exceeded expectations, but it's not what I'd consider a good team. Just a team with a good record.
We continue to wonder about Nebraska's hype, which we thought would have cooled down a bit after last week's thumping loss at Minnesota. It's been along time since Dr Tom Osborne's days, and nearly a quarter of a century since the last hurrah for the program when Frank Solich got the 2001 team to the title game vs. Miami. It's not that Nebraska any longer, yet the public can't seem to quite bring itself to realizing the Huskers might just be terribly overrated. An outright Northwestern win would not surprise, as David Braun has the Cats on a four-game win streak with one of the nation's best defenses (ranks 11th in scoring), while SMU transfer Preston Stone has proven an upgrade at QB.
