There will be a bit of a twinge for this game that was cancelled last year due to the unfortunate events at Virginia. Nonetheless, this Commonwealth Series has been owned by VPI for the past 20 years, as only once since a loss in 2003 have they dropped a verdict vs. the Cavs. That was all Frank Beamer and Justin Fuente, and now it's Brent Pry, but the Hokies get bowl-eligible with a win, and have displayed a bit more pop offensively with dual-threat Baylor transfer Kyron Drones. Virginia Tech has rebounded from an awful start and could get to a bowl game with a win here, but taking the Hokies as a road favorite is too much. This is a huge game for Virginia when you consider the tragedy that caused last year's game to be canceled. There's no way I can bet against the Cavaliers in this spot.
