Notre Dame has had a strange season. Until last week, the losses at home to Marshall and Stanford were the only wins over FBS teams for each of those opponents. Yet, on the road, the Irish have been pretty good. They won impressively at North Carolina and beat BYU comfortably. They even played well at Ohio State in a loss. Syracuse is good, but not as good as its record. This should be a low scoring game and I like Notre Dame as an underdog.

Imagine if somebody told you before the season Syracuse would be the ranked favorite in this game? Well, while the records are a lot different than you expect, are either of these teams all that different than what you expected from a talent perspective? Notre Dame finally finds success on the ground against a Syracuse defense that's struggled to stop the run.
