The Bulldogs are far and away the best team in the nation. They have won each of their last eight games by at least 17 points and seven of those by at least 24. Their defense has been ridiculous, allowing 6.6 points per game. On the road, Georgia is 4-0 ATS and has covered by an average of 14.6 points. The Volunteers haven't been able to deal with top teams, losing by 28 to Alabama and by 24 to Florida. Lay the points.

I understand the thought process that leads to people picking the under. After all, Georgia’s defense is next-level. The Tennessee offense, however, is the best offense it has faced all year. The Vols lead the SEC with 7.15 yards per play in conference games, and will hit enough big plays to break the 17-point mark in this one. With that said, Georgia will keep its foot on the gas longer than it has all year and the over will hit.

It doesn't take much analysis to see that Georgia's defense is the best in the countr, and has done a consistent job of not allowing multiple touchdowns in a game. We know Josh Heupel's offense is predicated on speed and tempo, but against this Georgia defense, that just sounds like a lot of quick three-and-outs.
