There is only so much Canisius can do this season with one of the nation's most-pedestrian offenses, scoring only 63 ppg, which rates a lowly 357 out of 361 nationally. Sheesh! That's why the Golden Griffs are working on nine straight losses and almost mathematically eliminated from appearing in the Metro-Atlantic Tourney at Atlkantic City, which takes only the top ten finishers in the loop (Canisius, tied for 11th, has 2.5 games to make ip on Sacred Heart and/or Manhattan, and not much time to do so). Iona has been somewhat disappointing this season and has found creative ways to lose three straight, but won the first meeting by 26, and can do a few more things offensively...like score (73.6 pg).
