The road thru the MEAC Tourney at the Norfolk Scope is a bit bumpy for favorites. NSU, enjoying a quasi-home court edge, had its hands full with heavy underdog UMES last night, continuing a pattern we have seen lately in the MEAC in which there were plenty of close games. The Spartans didn't have it easy vs. Morgan State during the regular season, either, salvaging a split that included a loss at Baltimore on January 15 when they couldn't contain Bears top gun Kameron Hobbs (scored 23). Led by Hobbs (16.6 ppg), Morgan State has some bite, scoring better than 80 pg and hitting better than 48% FGs (good for 31st nationally, not too bad). Play Morgan State (MEAC at Norfolk Scope).
