No Kevin McCullar tonight for Kansas. The Jayhawks rolled Texas in their last game without him and are 14-0 SU at home. The Cougars have not been good on the road 2-6 SU and 1-7 ATS. BYU does have the rebounding advantage on both sides of the court. It all comes down to their offense and how long it goes stagnant from three. The Jayhawks are an average team at guarding the perimeter and do have a massive home court advantage, but this number still seems low for how BYU has performed on the road.

As Big 12 sources have noted all season about BYU, shortcomings are bound to surface at some point for a team that relies so heavily upon three-pointers...32.4 per game, to be exact, behind only the North Florida Ospreys in national stats.. Shooting percentages from deep are apt to drop on the road anyway; at K-State on Saturday, the Cougs were a putrid 6 for 31 from deep, contributing heavily to another road defeat. Things are not likely to get much better at Lawrence, where the seventh-ranked Jayhawks have yet to lose outright this season, and this month have already won and covered impressively at the Phog in double-digit wins over both Houston and Texas. Kansas is a perfect 14-0 at home this season and I think that streak continues on Tuesday against a BYU squad that has lost its last three road games by double digits. In those losses, the Cougars' defense has given up an average of 86.3 points. I do worry about Kansas' poor perimeter defense if BYU is hot from three, although the Jayhawks should dominate in the paint. Kansas gets just under 62% of its points from two-pointers, which ranks first in the Big 12. Meanwhile, BYU allows conference opponents to shoot 51.4% from inside the arc. I make this line Kansas -7.5, so I jumped on the opener at 5.5.
