Villanova lost at Marquette by 13 on Jan. 15 and hasn't won since, but the Golden Eagles tonight will be without three of their top five guards in Kam Jones (that's the news), Chase Ross and Sean Jones. Kam Jones had 22 points, six rebounds and four assists in the first meeting. I don't want to say this is the season for Villanova, but it essentially is with the Cats in free-fall -- to be fair, three of their losses in the current four-game skid were away and the lone one at home by just a point to No. 1 UConn.

Money is coming in on Villanova which is curious as they are the unranked team who has lost 5 out of 6 games. With that said, some of those losses have been very tight affairs against quality teams (lost to Uconn by 1 and Butler in Double OT). Marquette is ranked inside the Top 10 and deserves their ranking but they will be facing a Villanova team that is desperate for a win. Villanova's defense is a question mark, but I expect them to pick up the intensity at home in this desperation spot and the offense should be able to put up points.
