Looking to keep pace with the quick growth of Michigan and the still-steady maturation of New Jersey, the Pennsylvania online casino industry kicked off 2026 in relatively strong fashion with over $249.3 million in revenue in January. While not quite on par with nearby New Jersey, the total still represents a significant year-over-year spike as PA online casinos continue to become a vital part of the state's legal gaming landscape.
PA online casinos post best-ever January revenue
Since launching in 2019, PA online casinos have continued to grow in terms of revenue, with January the latest example. All told, real money online casino apps in Pennsylvania combined for nearly $250 million in revenue.
While down from December's record-setting total of $259.7 million, January's bottom line reflected a generous year-over-year spike of 18.6%. To set an all-time record for January revenue.
Two-thirds of the iGaming market saw annual growth, with real money online slots jumping 22.8% to $194.8 million in January and table games increasing by 6.2% to almost $52 million. Online poker tumbled by 3.6% to a mere $2.5 million in revenue.
Powered by PA online casinos, total gaming revenue in the state – combining land-based casinos, sports betting, video gaming terminals and daily fantasy contests – came in at over $590 million, up over $60 million from January 2025.
Big start could point to another record year in 2026
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course – which includes prominent partners like BetMGM Casino, DraftKings Casino and Fanatics Casino – once again led the way among PA online casinos with $96.2 million in January.
FanDuel Casino carried the load for land-based partner Valley Forge Casino Resort, which totaled just over $67 million, while Rivers Casino Philadelphia rounded out the top three with more than $40 million.
Combined, the Pennsylvania online casino industry got off to a hot start to 2026 just after wrapping up a landmark year for iGaming. In 2025, operators in the Keystone State totaled over $2.7 billion in online casino revenue.
With a big jump-start to the new year, PA online casinos can take aim at their first $3 billion year and stay in line with top industry markets in Michigan and New Jersey.
