New Jersey online casinos set single-year record with over $2.9 billion in revenue
Though 12 years old, the New Jersey online casino industry continues to set records, with the market inching closer to $3 billion in annual revenue.

The New Jersey online casino industry appears to age like fine wine, because after over a dozen years of operations, iGaming in the Garden State has once again reached a new milestone. As reported by the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), NJ online casinos combined for $273.2 million in December revenue, bringing the 2025 total to around $2.91 billion to set a new single-year mark in the state.
NJ online casinos overtake Atlantic City casinos for most revenue
Heading into 2025, NJ online casinos were already on an upward trend, fresh off a then-record $2.39 billion set the previous year. By November, the iGaming industry already surpassed that mark and further built upon it with a near-20% year-over-year growth in December.
According to the DGE, total gaming revenue in the state – including from land-based casinos, iGaming, sports betting and racetracks – clocked in at $6.98 billion in 2025, with some of the best online casinos in New Jersey accounting for over 41% of that total.
Compare that with brick-and-mortar casinos in Atlantic City, for years the bread-winner in New Jersey, which totaled just $216.1 million in December (down 6.7% year-over-year) and $2.89 billion in 2025 (a modest YoY increase of 2.7%).
We have long anticipated NJ online casinos to take over the legal gambling landscape in the Garden State. In 2025, it became official.
FanDuel, DraftKings lead burgeoning NJ online casino market
The top of the near-30 online casino rankings has largely remained unchanged for several years now – and they continued that trend in December and through 2025.
The overall No. 1 for December was FanDuel Casino, which reported $61.9 million last month as part of a single-month record for online casino revenue in New Jersey. That included many new players taking advantage of the latest FanDuel Casino promo code. Just behind was DraftKings Casino with $52.2 million and a slew of players signing up for the latest DraftKings Casino promo code.
That same 1-2 led the annual revenue totals (FanDuel with $655.5 million, DraftKings with $596.8 million) with the tandem accounting for over 42% of the overall industry.
Though launched in 2013, online casinos in New Jersey continue to find ways to set records. Now the watch is on for when they first top $300 million in a single month and over $3 billion in one year.
