Mohegan Digital lays deeper Pennsylvania online casino roots with Philadelphia Flyers partnership
Looking to build upon its standing among PA online casinos, Mohegan Digital partnered with the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers to help drive engagement.
The landscape of PA online casinos is highly competitive, but Mohegan Digital is hoping its latest announcement will help Mohegan Online Casino establish a stronger footing in the Keystone State. Mohegan Digital, the iGaming division for the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut, announced a partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL, a deal that brings in-arena experiences, broadcast integrations and digital promos for Mohegan Online Casino and its sports betting counterpart.
Highlights of partnership between Mohegan Online Casino, Flyers
According to the announcement, the Flyers deal allows Mohegan Digital to offer in-game and on-site activations throughout the year, including on-ice contests for randomly selected fans at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
In addition, Mohegan Digital will provide digital branding as well as broadcast and social media integration. That includes a unique "Rink Roulette" projection on the ice during select games.
As Guy Greene, vice president of digital gaming for Mohegan Digital, said in a press release, the Flyers partnership creates a chance for expanded visibility of the Mohegan Online Casino brand as well as its companion sportsbook.
Bryan Furey, senior vice president of corporate partnerships with the Flyers, said that Mohegan Digital will further enhance the experience of Flyers fans at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Mohegan looks to improve market share among PA online casinos
Mohegan Online Casino, which launched in Pennsylvania in 2024, is still relatively new to the PA online casino industry, offering hundreds of casino games online as well as daily jackpots and other online casino bonuses for new and existing users of casino apps.
Yet while PA online casinos combined for a record month in October with over $251 million in revenue, Mohegan Online Casino remained near the bottom of the rankings with less than $2.2 million in revenue.
The market is currently dominated by the likes of the BetMGM Casino app and by using the DraftKings Casino promo code, among others ahead of Mohegan Online Casino.
The hope, though, is that this Flyers partnership expands public visibility of the Mohegan brand and drives more users to its PA online casino.
