IGT's Wheel of Fortune Trio slots cabinet wins top performing award
Some 30 years into developing Wheel of Fortune slots, IGT continues to shine, as shown by the Top Performing New Premium Cabinet award presented by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming.
For 30 years, International Game Technology (IGT) has developed Wheel of Fortune-themed slots – and it has done so with aplomb. The latest example came from the 2026 EKG Slot Awards Show presented by Eilers & Krejcik, where IGT's Wheel of Fortune Trio cabinet won the the Top Performing New Premium Cabinet prize.
Top award from EKG 'just on step' as IGT continues to grow
Launched in 2025, the Wheel of Fortune Trio Cabinet included the Wheel of Fortune Cash Link game in a 76-inch mechanical reel slot with a trio of ultra-high-definition portrait screens set within a 140-inch-tall video backdrop.Â
All of these features quickly made the cabinet a high-performing fixture at land-based casinos across North America.
Hector Fernandez, CEO of IGT, called the EKG award a representation of his company's strength of content. He also emphasized that it's "just one step in our global transformation as we continue to build a winning culture and position for growth."
It wasn't just the Top Performing New Premium Cabinet award that IGT garnered from the 2026 EKG Slot Awards Show:

IGT celebrates 30 years of Wheel of Fortune slots
Wheel of Fortune-themed casino games online as well as at land-based casinos have long been a staple for IGT, which first introduced licensed slots with the TV game show brand in 1996. Earlier this year, the company celebrated the 30-year anniversary of the slot by teasing at new product launches and coast-to-coast in-person casino celebrations.
IGT also announced contests run on Instagram and Facebook as well as real money online slots influencer collaborations. On top of it all, there was a week of integrations featured on Wheel of Fortune on real money online casino platforms.
With IGT's success over the past three decades, it should come as no surprise that many licensed casino apps and new online casinos have integrated the company's content into their libraries of online casino games. As Fernandez hinted at, though, there is still plenty more to come from IGT.
