The A's have a bit of a menacing look about themselves these days, winning the just-completed series down I-95 in D.C. against the Nats and now having won six of their last seven away (including a four-game sweep in Houston). The offense has done some prodigious things lately, as have the pitchers (such as Jacob Lopez and his seven shutout innings yesterday), as ex-MSU Bulldog JT Ginn has spun a neat 2.82 ERA in six road appearances. The big bats of the A's lineup might be able to do some real business vs. Birds starter Tomoyuki Sugano, who has had a very bumpy go since late June, with a 6.82 ERA across his last six starts.
