Over the past three seasons, the Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos have been the NFL's two worst teams ATS in division games.

The Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos will both start second-year quarterbacks this season in Dwayne Haskins and Drew Lock, respectively, so perhaps they can help reverse one awful betting trend regarding each franchise that has little to do with them: The Skins and Broncos have been the two worst against the spread teams in the NFL in division-only games the past three seasons.

Washington is 4-14 ATS against its NFC East competition (Dallas, Philadelphia and New York Giants) since 2017, a cover percentage of just 22.2. In fact, Washington has lost 10 consecutive games straight up against the division – the Redskins' most recent victory was 20-13 at the Giants on Oct. 28, 2018.

Haskins saw action in nine games as a rookie and three were vs. the NFC East. He played quite well in a 37-27 home loss to the Eagles (19-for-29, 261 yards, two TDs, no picks) and a 41-35 OT home loss to the Giants (12-for-15, 133 yards, two TDs, no picks).

Perhaps considering betting Over the total when Washington plays the NFC East as it hit in 10 of those 18 games.

The Broncos, meanwhile, are 5-11-2 ATS against the AFC West (Kansas City, Las Vegas, LA Chargers) over the past three seasons, a cover percentage of 31.2. Denver did have three straight-up wins against divisional foes last year and covered the spread in both games against the Chargers as the Broncos swept the season series.

Lock's NFL debut was in a 23-20 home win over the Bolts on Dec. 1. Brandon McManus hit a 53-yard field goal as time expired – that was set up by a very questionable defensive pass interference call on Los Angeles.

As for the total, the Under has hit in 14 of Denver's past 18 vs. the AFC West. Just one of the Broncos' divisional games went Over last year and that had a miniscule total of 38.5.
