Was gonna pass (pun intended) if both Baltimore cornerbacks were out but Marcus Peters and Marlon Humphrey are good to go. The Fins will have left tackle Terron Armstead but not right Austin Jackson. Remember, Tua is a lefty so right tackle is more important than left. Already on the Under and this news is only good. Unless the Ravens D scores a couple of times ...
Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead is a go, which was a must if considering Miami. The Ravens get back corner Marcus Peters, but he hasn't played since 2020. And key reserve corner Brandon Stephens is out. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle should be able to make a few big plays against this depleted secondary, even with Marlon Humphrey active. And with J.K. Dobbins still sidelined, the Ravens aren't nearly as explosive. Grab the points.
These clubs only yielded 16 total points combined last week, but this total suggests a low-scoring grinder in is in store Sunday and I'm not sure this is accurate. This game should showcase two of the NFL's top receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle and, although the Ravens still have a limited running game, we saw last week what Lamar Jackson can do almost entirely on his own. This is a low total to clip between a pair of potent offensive units.
I may come back and play this on the spread/ML, but I do like the Under now that it has moved up from 43.5 -- obviously, 44 is a key number (24-20, 27-17). Both defenses were excellent in Week 1, and the Fins could be without both starting offensive tackles (if that's true, I will take Baltimore ML) so the Ravens could really do a number on that Miami O. The teams combined for just 32 points last year in South Florida.
In a sloppy game due to weather at the Meadowlands, the Ravens were still dominant defensively in their performance against the Jets. Miami was able to take advantage of an ineffective, and immobile QB in Mac Jones last weekend, but still left some meat on the bones offensively. In this matchup vs the Ravens defense, I don't see the same busts in coverage happening that we saw vs New England, and with conditions expected to be ideal, expect a much more explosive Ravens offense as a result.
