Reports are that Kyler Murray is unlikely to play for a third straight week and we already know that DeAndre Hopkins is out, so let's get this now before it rises even more. I simply refuse to bet right on 3 points. May come back on the Under as well.
The Seahawks have lost twice in overtime and another game by a field goal, putting them at 3-6. This game is their season. In his second week back, Russell Wilson should be much better. It looks like Arizona will be missing Kyler Murray (ankle); DeAndre Hopkins is definitely out, and projected starting QB Colt McCoy is dealing with a pectoral injury. Back Seattle to keep its flickering playoff hopes alive.
The Seahawks are have been a coin flip ATS this season (5-4) but on the total they've been nearly automatic. Seattle has gone Under 7 times this season, with one Over and one Push. Granted, a lot of that was without Russell Wilson, but he didn't look to be back to his former self last week. Meanwhile, the Cardinals will likely be starting Colt McCoy and won't have DeAndre Hopkins. Take the Under.
We won't know for sure until game time, but signs are pointing to Colt McCoy starting again for the Cardinals ... and even if Kyler Murray gets the nod, it's unlikely he'll be his old self. Of course, Russell Wilson looked bad in his first game back from finger surgery, but the thinking here is he'll be improved enough to get the win against an Arizona team that will be down both DeAndre Hopkins and likely Murray. It has also been profitable to fade Kliff Kingsbury teams in the second half of seasons. Take the home 'dog.
Another game-time decision on the availability of QB Kyler Murray injects some risk into this pick, but there is enough evidence to choose Under regardless. Murray’s comrade-in-arms, WR DeAndre Hopkins, is out for sure. If Murray is a no-go, backup Colt McCoy has his own injury issues. For Seattle, top RB Chris Carson is done for the season. The Seahawks were shut out last Sunday in Russell Wilson’s hasty return from finger surgery. While the zero was unusual, they have gone Under in 12 of Wilson’s last 14 starts.
Let's take a deeper look at what kind of game we have here. Arizona will have Kyler Murray back from injury and the Seahawks get their second crack with Russell Wilson back from his. With either of these teams there is the risk of quick, big scoring plays happening so be careful...but I'll take a shot here on Russell Wilson and the Seahawks still trying to figure some things out against a really stout defense and the Cardinals looking to win without putting Kyler in many risky positions. I'll play the number here.
