The Cardinals are not what I would call a trustworthy side, but they are the right one in this game. Kyler Murray's dual-threat nature should keep the Eagles on their toes while his arm in particular takes the top off the secondary in connections with DeAndre Hopkins. I expect Jalen Hurts to take a step back production-wise now that there's a full game of tape on him, even though Arizona coach Kilff Kingsbury is one of my favorites to fade this season. The Cardinals defense is coming along at the right time, and with the line dropping to a flat touchdown, I'm in.
The Eagles are coming off a huge upset win, but their secondary is decimated entering Sunday's game versus Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk. Look for Jalen Hurts to struggle in his first road game as Arizona covers.
Lost in the Jalen Hurts hoopla is that the Eagles defense has been playing well lately, and it all culminated in a great first half against the Saints. But that defense is dealing with a bunch of injuries heading into this matchup, especially in the secondary. That's not great with Kyler Murray looking close to full health in a nice day against the Giants that included 13 carries. The Arizona defense absolutely dominated that matchup last week and could be in for another good game if Hurts regresses following a better-than-expected debut. Check around for a -6 before you lay it, but I expect this Cardinals team to win this game by at least a touchdown.
The Eagles tried to throw us off the Under scent last week with a good game from Jalen Hurts on the ground and a late TD by the Saints pushing a Philadelphia game Over for the first time in seven weeks. But I'm not banking on Hurts just piling on points over the rest of the season, and we could see some regression for the Philly offense in this game. Arizona Unders are 9-4 on the season, and while Kyler Murray finally looked healthy last week, the Eagles defense has played better over the second half of the year. Both teams will look to run the ball (the Eagles dialed up 36 rushes last week), which will shorten the game and keep it Under.
