Waited as long as I could in hopes that the Panthers would get a full field goal at home. I truly believe the Ravens are one of the best teams in the AFC, but Carolina is not getting enough respect at home here where it is on a 6-2 ATS and 5-0 SU streak. The Panthers should have confidence coming out of their come-from-behind win over the Eagles, and I like the combination of Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey running the ball and keeping Baltimore on the edge. I actually have Carolina as three-point favorites today, so I'm getting nearly a TD worth of value with this pick. Baltimore may prove me wrong, and good for the Ravens if they do because they need a bounce-back win, but the Panthers are the call here.
The Panthers have stayed Under the total in their last two games and the objective of the offense is to grind the game out on the ground, where they average 136 yards per game, in order to slow the game down and wait for their opponent to make the first mistake. The Ravens are currently on a five-game Under streak with a defense that has been stingy. They allow only 280 yards per contest, which is the NFL's least amount allowed. Under is the top play.
I like the Ravens to bounce back after Justin Tucker's stunning PAT miss. Baltimore allows a league-low 4.5 yards per play and should frustrate Cam Newton and co. all day.
Even after playing the Saints, the Ravens are giving up a league-low 14.4 points per game. Cam Newton played well last week, leading a comeback win, but I don't think Philly is that good right now. Baltimore's defense is still very good and Joe Flacco is playing decently. Back the road favorite.
