Warriors vs. Pistons injury report, odds, spread: Draymond Green out again; Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose will play

Detroit will get two All-Stars back from a rest game Tuesday night when the Pistons host the Warriors.

The Golden State Warriors wrap up an opening four-game road trip through the Eastern Conference as they visit the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. The Warriors haven't looked particularly good thus far but are 4.5-point road favorites on the William Hill Sportsbook NBA odds despite being without Draymond Green yet again. The Pistons are playing the second of a back-to-back will but will have both Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose available.

Detroit (0-3) was a 128-120 loser in Atlanta on Monday night as both Griffin and Rose sat – it sounds like neither of them will play very often this season (at least early on) in both ends of a back-to-back. Griffin, who has a tender knee, played 44 minutes in Saturday's loss to Cleveland and Rose played 33, so that fact that Tuesday is the team's third game in four nights it made sense for neither to suit up Monday.

Griffin is averaging 20.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in his two games and Rose 14.0 points and five assists. He comes off the bench. Griffin and Rose are just two of four returning Pistons players from last season.

The Warriors are rather thin in the frontcourt with the three-time All-Star Green – who starred collegiately not far from Detroit at Michigan State – yet to play due to a foot injury and fellow forward Marquese Criss suffering a season-ending broken ankle in Saturday's practice. The former Defensive Player of the Year Green probably debuts later this week. Following Tuesday's game, the Warriors have a seven-game homestand.

The Warriors have an 8-22 record in regular-season games without both Green and Klay Thompson (out for season) in the lineup since 2012-13. Golden State star Steph Curry enters this game having made an incredible 64 straight regular-season free throws, a franchise record. That dates back to the 2018-19 season as Curry missed much of last year.

Detroit swept Golden State last season and the Pistons have covered five straight games overall in the series. The Dubs are 0-3 ATS this year despite coming off a last-second win in Chicago on Saturday.
