It's a good thing the Nets are unrecognizable in LA; if back in Brooklyn, they might have to go the Floyd Patterson-after-losing-to-Ingemar Johansson route and don fake bears and sunglasses in public after the humiliating 126-67 loss to the Clips on Wednesday, the worst-ever Nets defeat (by a good margin...previous mark was a 52-point loss in October '78 vs. the Rockets). The Nets should fare better tonight (how could they not?) but they are depleted minus top scorer G Cam Thomas, among others, and the offense held under 100 points four times in the last seven games.This also looks a potential flat spot for the Lake Show with the crosstown showdown vs. the Clippers on deck for Sunday. This game has blowout written all over it. The Nets are 2-9 over their last 11 games and seven of those losses came by at least 10 points. A strategy I have been employing is rolling with top bench scorers going against them to go over their points prop. If the game does get out of hand, they should play more and receive added shot attempts. This is a great spot for Dalton Knecht, who has scored at least seven points in 12 of the 19 games in which he has played at least 20 minutes this season.
