Have a bit of a man-crush on the Padres at this point and I'd love to see that town get its first World Series title if the Cubs can't (and they can't, frankly, because they didn't get real help at the deadline, but that's an anger/cheapness issue for another day). Just happy to have the -1 option even if Boston is playing well. The pitching matchup appears to heavily favor the Friars with former Red Sox righty Nick Pivetta (11-3, 2.76 ERA), one of the free-agent bargains of the year, against Walker Buehler ("Buehler"?), who has a 7.44 road ERA. If we start getting -1 options now, I believe we eat! Unless a team leads by three runs at one point ...
