I always try to play matinee standalone games but am slightly worried about Tigers ace lefty Tarik Skubal after his first two starts as they weren't up to his high standards. So I won't play much. But am hoping simply being back at Comerica Park will change things as Skubal was 10-1 with a 1.99 ERA there last season on the way to winning the Cy Young. For some reason, the Yanks are starting four lefty hitters against the toughest lefty in the AL. NYY's Carlos Carrasco (7.36 ERA) should not be starting in the major leagues at this point.

We're not expecting Carlos Carrasco to get backed as he has been in first two starts when the Yankees' offense gave him 29 runs to work with. Not today in the matinee at Comerica Park against Tarik Skubal. Though not quite in the fast lane as he was most of last season when rolling to the AL Cy Young, Skubal dropped hints last Wednesday vs. Seattle when striking out eight in just 5 2/3 IP. Meanwhile, the Tigers have won six of seven to climb back above .500 after that tough opening series at Chavez Ravine vs. the Dodgers. Carrasco hasn't fooled anyone in his two starts, with a 7.36 ERA and 1.64 WHIP. Play Tigers on Run Line.
