So far, so good playing totals in this series although this is the lowest number so far. Both Carlos Rodon and Merrill Kelly were good in their season debuts on the mound. Kelly is 1-0 with a 2.61 ERA (3 ER in 10.1 IP) over two career starts vs. NYY. No Giancarlo Stanton for the Yanks or Jake McCarthy or Gabriel Moreno for the Snakes. Every little bit counts. This was at 9 and I'll probably pay the extra 20 cents or so to get it back there.

Merrill Kelly got 4 spring starts with the 8 runs allowed while working on stuff but in 12 innings he struck out 18 and walked two. That's the part I like. That's the part he's coming out with in 2024. Control. The former ASU star came out in his first start of the season and pitched 6.2 innings allowed one run, struck out eight, and walked none. He's going to get after the Yankees today. Arizona to win.
