I'm with Matt and Larry on this as I think the Braves are in a good spot to bounce back after dropping two straight games to the Padres. It's early but the Braves look like maybe the best team in the league on paper and have a very balanced roster. Atlanta's bats have been somewhat quiet to start the season but this looks like a potential breakout spot to me. I also think Atlanta's TT Over 4.5 runs has some value too. Lets ride.
We don't know much about Braves rookie pitcher Dylan Dodd, but he made the club by pitching to a 2.00 ERA in five games and striking out 20 batters in 18 spring innings and then held the Cardinals to a run over five innings in his regular-season MLB debut. It's converted reliever Seth Lugo for the Friars. Meh. Led by Ronald Acuna Jr., a few key Braves have good splits off him. San Diego All-Star closer Josh Hader likely isn't available after pitching the past two games.
The Braves stranded 17 runners while losing the past two games to the Padres, going 2 for 14 with runners in scoring position. I like them to salvage a series split Sunday night versus Seth Lugo; they own a collective .887 OPS against him. Atlanta rookie Dylan Dodd impressed all spring and then backed it up in his season debut versus the Cardinals, allowing one run over five innings. Lay the reasonable price with Atlanta.
