Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettor Mike McClure on the Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NHL, PGA and Major League Baseball for Sunday, April 4.

Coach starts things off with two SportsLine Plays of the Day. The first is the Capitals (-170) to beat the Devils (3 p.m. ET start). "This is a Graded-A play at SportsLine, winning in 70 percent of our simulations," Coach says. "The Caps come off an overtime win against the Devils last night.

The second Play of the Day is the Panthers (-170) to beat the Blue Jackets (5 p.m. ET). "The Panthers are on a five-game winning streak," Coach says. "The Cats are 4-0-1 this season against Columbus already."

McClure's three-pack of picks are in Major League Baseball and starts with the Twins (-105) over the Brewers (2:10 p.m. ET). "(The Brewers) struck out the second-most (times) in Major League Baseball last season, and obviously that is continuing," he says. "They are swinging and missing a ton, they're getting called out on strikes a ton."

His next play is the Indians (-123) over the Tigers (1:10 p.m. ET). "I really like that they're facing a younger left-handed pitcher that we don't have a ton of data on," McClure says. "I do like this Indians lineup against left-handed pitching."

McClure's final play is the White Sox (+115) over the Angels (8:37 p.m. ET). "Anytime (Shohei) Ohtani is going to take the mound, especially in a situation like this where it's the first Sunday Night Baseball game of the year, you can bet that the line is going to be inflated in the betting market," he says.

Coach closes things out with a play in the Valero Texas Open: Rickie Fowler (-120) over Erik van Rooyen. "(Fowler) has been playing really well the last couple of days," he says. "I think he's starting to find it."
