Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure and Zack Cimini on the Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball for Saturday, April 17.

Coach starts things off with two SportsLine Plays of the Day, both in the NHL. The first is the Capitals (-140) over the Flyers (12:30 p.m. ET). "The Caps are coming off a bad loss; we know that," Coach says. "However the two previous games they scored 14 goals, including a 6-1 win over this same Flyers team." The second Play of the Day is the Panthers (+140) over the Lightning (7 p.m. ET).

McClure's twin pack of picks comes in Major League Baseball. The first is the Reds (-125) to beat the Indians (4:10 p.m. ET). "I like the way Sonny Gray has kind of revitalized his career," he says. "I think he can manage this Cleveland Indians lineup relatively well."

McClure also likes the Cardinals-Phillies game (4:05 p.m. ET) to go Over 8.5 runs. "This lineup that [the Cardinals] have this season should crush lefthanded pitching from top to bottom: Edman, Goldschmidt, Nolan Arenado, DeJong, Yadier Molina," McClure says. "All guys hit lefthanded pitching above average."

Cimini's first pick comes in the MLB: the Brewers (-135) to beat the Pirates (7:10 p.m. ET). "The Brewers have been very strong at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates: 10-3 over the last 13 games," Cimini says.

He also likes the Marlins (-130) over the Giants (6:10 p.m. ET). "The way the Giants are playing is just not sustainable," he says. "They've scored just 42 runs in 13 games."

Cimini closes things out with a play in the NBA: the Bucks (-8.5) to cover against the Grizzlies (9 p.m. ET). "I think the Bucks are in a good spot based on the fact that the Grizzlies are in a back-to-back scenario," Cimini says.
