Today's top picks: Why the Cardinals will beat the Reds and more MLB, CONCACAF Gold Cup and tennis expert bets for Saturday, July 24

Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure and Justin Perri on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for Major League Baseball, the CONCACAF Gold Cup and tennis for Saturday, July 24.

Coach starts things off with four SportsLine Plays of the Day, all from the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The first two come from the El Salvador-Qatar match (7:30 p.m. ET): Qatar to win (-143) and Over 1.5 team goals for Qatar (+130). The other two come from the Mexico-Honduras match (10 p.m. ET): Mexico win to nil (+108) and Under 2.5 total goals in the match (-130). 

McClure has three picks, all from tennis. The first two come from the Richard Gasquet-Daniel Altmaier semifinal in the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag (noon ET): Gasquet to win in straight sets (+190) and Gasquet to win on the moneyline (-145). "[Gasquet] is such a master on clay," McClure says. "This is form we've seen from him throughout his career."

McClure's final pick is a parlay from the Olympic men's tennis tournament: Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov to win (-109) (beginning around 9 p.m. ET). "Tsitsipas obviously is the biggest favorite, and that's what we're trying to bring the juice down on mostly," McClure says. "But I do love the matchups for Rublev and Khachanov in this one."

Perri's three-pack of picks comes in MLB. The first is Over 9.5 runs (-115) in the Braves-Phillies game (6:05 p.m. ET). "These teams have played a bunch this season," Perri says. "They usually score pretty well when they go against each other."

He also likes Over 10 runs (-120) in the Rays-Indians game (7:10 p.m. ET). "The Rays are 30-16 on the Over when they play away from home," Perri says. "The Indians are 25-17 [to the Over] at home."

Perri closes things out with the Cardinals (+160) to upset the Reds (7:10 p.m. ET). "I really think that Luis Castillo is in a position to struggle," Perri says. "This will be the fourth time this season that he sees the Cardinals."
