Today's top picks: Why Iowa State will cover against Iowa and more college football expert bets for Saturday, Sept. 11

Allan Bell is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure and Micah Roberts on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for college football for Saturday, Sept. 11.

Bell starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: Notre Dame (-17) to cover against Toledo (2:30 p.m. ET). "Brian Kelly, the head coach at Notre Dame, is going to and has been locking down his team, specifically defensively from the miscues and missteps they had last week," Bell says.

McClure has a pair of college football picks. The first is Tennessee (+4) to cover against Pitt (12 p.m. ET). "Look for the home-field advantage to really be what gets Tennessee inside the number," he says. "I love it at +4."

He also likes Iowa State (-4.5) to cover against Iowa (4:30 p.m. ET). "I give a big edge to Iowa State at the quarterback position with Brock Purdy," he says.

Roberts' pair of picks also comes in college football. The first is San Diego State (+110) to beat Arizona (10 p.m. ET). "I think they're going to just run the ball," he says. "They can just beat [the Wildcats] that way the entire game."

Roberts closes The Early Edge with Houston (-8) to cover against Rice (6:30 p.m. ET). "We're going with the more experienced team here," he says.
