Jonathan Coachman is joined by sports betting experts Mike McClure, John Bollman, Micah Roberts and Allan Bell on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for Major League Baseball and soccer for Sunday, Aug. 7.

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: The Rangers (+1.5 runs at -130) to cover against the White Sox in the finale of their four-game series (2:35 p.m. ET). "Texas apparently hasn't been afraid of the Chicago White Sox. Not for one second," he says.

McClure is up next with a pair of MLB plays. He likes the Red Sox Over 2.5 in the first five innings (-110) and Over 5 for the game (-105) against the Royals (2:10 p.m. ET). "(Kansas City's) Brad Keller is league average at best in terms of weighted on-base average allowed. Definitely below league average in terms of missing bats, does not strike out many hitters," Mike says. "Eight earned runs (allowed) in his last start, given up three in all of his last four starts. Really a rough spot for him, and then we know the Royals have one of the worst bullpens in Major League Baseball. This is going to be a great day for the Red Sox."

Roberts follows with two MLB plays of his own. The first is the Guardians (+135) to beat the Astros in the finale of their four-game set (12:05 p.m. ET). "I like Triston McKenzie a lot," he says. "Cleveland's gone 7-3 behind him. His last two starts, a little shaky, but before that, he only allowed one run in four starts - all Cleveland wins. On the other side, you've got Cristian Javier. Hasn't been so good since his no-hitter. Houston is only 8-8 behind him this year."

Micah's second play is the Mets (-140) to defeat the Braves as they wrap up their five-game series (4:10 p.m. ET). "Probably only going to get five or six innings out of Jacob deGrom," he says. "I think the mind set of the Mets right now, they're just attacking everything and playing so well on both sides of the ball. They're 11-2 in their last 13, playing extremely well."

Bollman continues things with a pair of MLB plays. The first is the Mariners (-150) to beat the Angels and earn a split of their four-game set (4:10 p.m. ET). "(Los Angeles') Tucker Davidson probably will be good someday, but he's struggled this year, he's been walking a lot of guys," he says. "The Angels are the second-worst team in weighted on-base average against lefties. … The Mariners are 16-9 in the last 30 days while the Angels are 8-16."

John's second play is the Cardinals (+120) to defeat the Yankees and complete a three-game sweep (2:15 p.m. ET). "Adam Wainwright's dominant at home, he's 4-3 with a 1.79 ERA this season," he says. "Giancarlo Stanton is still out, Anthony Rizzo could be out again. The Yankees are currently on their longest losing streak and they're 10-15 in their last 25 games, including 3-9 on the road. The Cards are 10-4 at home in that span."

Coach jumps in with three MLB plays. The first is the Orioles (-170) to beat the Pirates and sweep their three-game series (1:35 p.m. ET). "The Orioles should be north of -200," he says. "I don't even need to look at the pitchers. That's how dominant the Orioles have been over the Pirates."

His second play is the Dodgers (-130) to defeat the Padres and complete a three-game sweep (7 p.m. ET). "They're the hottest team in baseball, and you're going to give me -130 against Yu Darvish, who when he's away from San Diego is very, very average?" he says. "I'll take that."

Coach's final play is Over 7.5 (-103) in the Reds-Brewers contest (2:10 p.m. ET). "I just want to shock the world on an Over where (Corbin) Burnes is on the mound," he says. "He's been hit the last couple of times. He's not the ace he was in May or June."

Bell wraps things up with The AB Pick 3. He begins with the English Premier League: Both teams to score (-125) in the West Ham-Manchester City match (11:30 a.m. ET). His final two plays are in MLB, with the first being the Braves Over 2.5 runs (-145) against the Mets. "Whether the Braves win, whether the Braves lose, they score three runs or more," he says.

Allan's final play is the Dodgers Over 3.5 runs (-165) versus the Padres. "The Padres just spent all their bank account," he says. "The Dodgers want to say, 'Good for you, we're still the kings out here. We're gonna let you know how things get done.' They've been taking it seriously all weekend, they're gonna do it one more time.
