Today's sports betting picks: Why Denver's Jerry Jeudy will rack up yardage, plus more NFL and MLB best bets for Monday, Sept. 12

Jonathan Coachman is joined by sports betting experts Allie O'Neill, Zack Cimini, Larry Hartstein and Allan Bell on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NFL and Major League Baseball for Monday, Sept. 12.

O'Neill starts things off with a play in MLB. She likes the Mets (-1.5 at -135) to cover against the Cubs (7:10 p.m. ET). "They've won eight straight when Chris Bassitt starts. He's recorded a win in six of his last seven starts. At home, he has a 2.77 ERA," Allie says. "(Chicago's) Javier Assad most recently gave up four earned runs to the Reds, and the Reds are not a very good team. And he does have a really high WHIP (1.43) over a pretty short amount of innings. … The Cubs have lost seven of their last eight away games."

Coach follows with an MLB play of his own. He likes Over 9 runs (+100) in the Dodgers-Diamondbacks game (9:40 p.m. ET). "(Arizona) is red hot," he says. "They're scoring a lot of runs. And tonight, they welcome potentially the best team in the entire National League, maybe in baseball, the LA Dodgers."

Cimini is up next with a play for Monday Night Football. He likes Over 60.5 receiving yards for Denver's Jerry Jeudy (-110) in the Broncos-Seahawks clash (8:15 p.m. ET). "With Russell Wilson coming in, you have to look at the way he has maximized the talent at the wide-receiver position when he was with Seattle," Zack says. "I just think Jeudy is going to be able to showcase himself. And with Russell Wilson facing his old Seattle team, you best believe the veteran's going to have a couple of moves up his sleeve, maybe one of those rainbow deep balls, maybe a lookoff that he's able to throw over the top, or even something he sees earlier in the game and goes back to later that's going to benefit Jeudy."

Hartstein jumps in with his NFL play. He likes Seattle's Geno Smith to record 200+ passing yards (-140) against the Broncos. "He's got DK Metcalf, he's got Tyler Lockett, he's got Noah Fant, he's got DeeJay Dallas, who's a very good receiving back who's looking a lot faster this season," Larry says. "(Smith) didn't have a turnover in the preseason, didn't have a turnover in those three starts last year. (The Seahawks) probably will try to pound the ball, but in the preseason, 61% of the time, they threw the ball. So to keep up with Russell Wilson, especially if they're playing from behind, I love (this play)."

Bell wraps things up with The AB Pick 3. First, he likes Over 1.5 total turnovers (-130) in the Broncos-Seahawks game. "Because tonight could be a trap game for interceptions, now fumbles are in play, now dropped punts, dropped kicks, anything is in play," he says.

Next, Allan likes Seattle wideout DK Metcalf's longest reception to be Over 21.5 yards (-130). "Geno Smith will put the ball up in the air," he says. "And if (the Seahawks) are going to do anything, DK is going to have to be involved."

Finally, Bell likes Over 25 points for the Broncos (-130) in the contest. "It's a weird number," he says. "However, three touchdowns and two field goals, or four touchdowns gets us home. I think the Broncos take care of it."
