Today's sports betting picks: Why Davante Adams will rack up yardage, plus more NFL and soccer best bets for Monday, Oct. 10

Allan Bell is joined by sports betting experts Jon "Buckets" Eimer and Alex Selesnick on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NFL and soccer for Monday, Oct. 10.

Eimer starts things off with a pair of soccer plays. First, he likes Lazio draw no bet (+105) in the Fiorentina-Lazio match in the Italian Serie A (2:45 p.m. ET). "Lazio have won their last three games in league play, outscoring their opponents 10-0," he says. "They also have former Golden Boot winner Ciro Immobile, who is one of the best goal-scoring threats in the world, leading the attack. They are traveling to attack Fiorentina, who are one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league. They have the second-least goals scored in all of Italy right now. … This team just can't really perform, with only a single win in their last seven (matches)."

Buckets' second play is both teams to score in the French Ligue 2 match between Sochaux and Saint-Etienne (2:45 p.m. ET). "(Saint-Etienne) were almost created to hit (this) prop. They were relegated from the top flight of French soccer last year, and when they were relegated, all of their good defenders left. But all of their attackers stayed, for some reason," he says. "They now have a team that has the most goals scored and most goals conceded in French soccer. They're playing a Sochaux team that has hit both teams to score in four of their last five and has scored in five of their last six matches."

Selesnick is up next with a play in the NFL. He likes Over 75.5 receiving yards for Las Vegas' Davante Adams (-115) in the Raiders-Chiefs showdown on Monday Night Football (8:15 p.m. ET). "He's averaging 11.75 targets, 73 yards, 6.75 receptions per game," Alex says. "This Kansas City defense is way more susceptible through the air than on the ground. Mike Evans went 8 (catches) for 103 (yards against KC) last week, before that, Michael Pittman 8 for 72, the week before that, Mike Williams 8 for 113. 

"I like Davante Adams more than all those guys personally, so I think his ceiling is great, a potential spike week for him. I think if KC is firing on all cylinders and is able to push Las Vegas, this could really turn into a shootout. That's the sort of game environment where Davante Adams could have a 15-target game and sail Over this number."

Bell wraps things up with a pair of NFL plays. First, he likes Over 0.5 interceptions for Las Vegas' Derek Carr (-115). "I think he's going to have close to 40 pass attempts, and he's thrown an interception in seven straight games against the Kansas City Chiefs," he says.

Allan's second play is Over 36.5 yards as the longest completion for Carr (-120). "Derek Carr is going to be putting the ball in the air. Kansas City plays pretty good run defense, so you're going to see the ball in the air," he says. "He's gonna have a game. He's gonna put yardage up."
