Today's picks: Why UConn will cover against Villanova and more college basketball and soccer best bets and picks for Tuesday

Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Chip Patterson, Jon (Buckets) Eimer, Martin W. Green and Zack Cimini on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Coach starts things off with the SportsLine play of the day: Iowa (-5.5) to cover against Michigan State (7 p.m. ET). "Iowa is 60 percent against the spread as a home favorite this season," he says.

Eimer has two soccer plays. The first is Both Teams To Score (-120) in the Istanbul Basaksehir-Konyaspor match (noon ET). "We have two of the highest-scoring teams in all of Turkey," he says. "Their last five head-to-head matches have all hit BTTS."

He also likes Both Teams To Score (-110) in the Villareal-Juventus Champions League match (3 p.m. ET). "Juventus has managed to score in 15 of their last 16 matches, and Villareal has no trouble scoring either," he says.

Like Eimer, Green also likes Both Teams To Score (-110) in the Villareal-Juventus Champions League match. "It's an injury-ravaged Juventus defense, which doesn't bode particularly well," he says. "I still think they have enough quality to get on the scoresheet." Also in that match he also likes Villareal Draw No Bet (-120). 

Green's final play is Chelsea (-1.25 Asian handicap) to cover against Lille (-135) in a Champions League match (3 p.m. ET). "[Chelsea's] home record in the Champions League is impeccable," he says.

Cimini has two college basketball plays. The first is Buffalo (-5) to cover against Miami (Ohio) (7 p.m. ET). "They're just playing great basketball," he says. "They're healthy right now."

He also likes Northeastern (+1) to cover against Charleston (7 p.m. ET). "[The Huskies] lost to Charleston earlier in conference play, 81-63, but prior to that loss they had beaten Charleston five straight times."

Patterson closes out the show with two college basketball plays. The first is UConn (-2) to cover against Villanova (8 p.m. ET). "[The Huskies] are going to be able to win inside," he says. "They're going to be physical."

His final pick is Over 153.5 points in the Iowa-Michigan State game. "[The Hawkeyes] are 13-3 to the Over at home," he says.
